✏️ What your child will do
Your child looks at the big letters I and J, follows the numbered red arrows to learn the stroke order, then traces two rows of dotted I and two rows of dotted J. The pictures (ice-cream and jug) link each letter to its sound.
🎯 What your child will learn
- Writing capital I and J in the correct stroke order
- Letter sounds: I for Ice-cream, J for Jug
- Pencil control on straight and curved strokes
- Matching letters with pictures
👣 How to do it
- Say 'I for Ice-cream' and 'J for Jug' together.
- Trace the big letters with a finger, following arrows 1, 2, 3.
- Trace the first letter in each row (it shows the arrows) with a pencil.
- Trace the rest of the dotted letters in both rows.
- Repeat for the second letter.
- Colour the pictures if you like.
💡 Tips for parents
- Ask your child to find things at home that start with I or J.
- Watch the stroke order – starting from the top makes writing faster later.
- Keep it to 10–15 minutes – stop while your child is still enjoying it.
